Progressives Bury Their Heads in Sand

I have spoken out repeatedly that the political tacticians who predominate on this site and other progressive blogs seem to have buried their heads in the sand about the stolen elections of 2000, 2002, and 2004.  They estactically point to polls showing Bush's approval ratings at their lowest point ever, and conduct optimistic polls on whether the Democrats will take back either one or both houses of Congress in 2006.

I have said over and over again that we must fact the grave danger that we may never have a free and fair election again in this nation under the present Republican regime, with their complete control of all branches of the government, and the control of Republican-owned private election companies such as Diebold and Sequioa and ED&D which control not only vast majority of the vote counting in this country, but the process of voter registration and electronic voting machines as well.

Cindy Sheehan rally broken up by NYC police

Breaking news:  NYC police forcibly removed Cindy Sheehan as she was closing her address to a New York City peace rally today.  The crowd was forcibly dispersed.  No warnings were given, and the group had a permit for the rally.  Fascism has arrived in the USA!!

A Democratic Bastion Destroyed?

I know with all the sorrow and tragedy striking New Orleans and the Gulf coast states it is sort of crass to think of the long-term political implications of this disaster.  But I fear the political implications are major.  The short-term implications we will soon see-whether rising anger against Bush for high gas prices will plunge his already low approval ratings to new lows. The quality of the federal rescue efforts and diaster-relief program will also have major political consequences for Bush.  If people see the government not adequately taking care of the needs of American citizens while our national guard and Army is bogged down in Iraq, widespread anger at Bush could mushroom across the nation.  A political strom is brewing, as Howard Fineman pointed out in Newsweeek today.

It Really Doesn't Matter Anymore

For some time now, I have repeated my contention that the political professionals are doing the Demorats and progressives no favors by downplaying election fraud as an explanation for the terrible turn of events that has brougth the plague of Republican neoconservative fascism upon our poor nation.

Like all of us in here, we would not been in here if we were not fascinated with politics and passionate about the possibility of improving people's lives through the political process.  To that end we are political junkies, spending hours upon hours poring through the latest polls, studying the electorate, surveying the latest news from all over the world on the Internet, hoping and praying that a better days is dawning and people will vote out the rascals in 2006.

I used to be like that.  I believed strongly before the 2004 presidential elections that what happened in Florida was the result of having the President's brother in charge in 2000.  I knew that Republicans would try anything to suppress the vote, but despite warnings to the contrary from those more knowledeable about the mechanics of computers and electronic voting, such as Bev Harris at blackboxvoting.com, I truly hoped that massive get-out-the vote drives would oust King George from office in 2004.

America Fascism 2005 Comes to Barnes and Noble

I just found this on Daily Kos.  It is very compelling information and action needs to be taken on this immediately.  Young people and teenagers were evicted out of a Delaware Barnes and Noble bookstore and threatened with arrest and detention in a juvenile home because offended Republican fascists feared they might ask visiting Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum a few unfriendly questions.

Voter Fraud In San Diego

I have consistently sounded the alarm on voting fraud in this forum, sometimes ridiculed for believing in "conspiracy theory."  I believe the voter's will was abused in the presidential elections of 2000 and 2004, as well as in many states in the 2002 midterm elections, which saw strange divergences from late polls and actual exit polls in states such as Georgia and Minnesota.

I have consistenly maintained that we can have the best poltical strategy that money can buy, have talented and charismatic candidates such as Paul Hackett, and still be deprived of victory due to election fraud.

For all those interested, the ties of Diebold and Sequoia, and Election Data Services, which manufacture the bulk of the voting machines used in elections in the USA, as well as manage the subsequent vote-couting, as well as administer voter-registration in most parts of the country, to the Republican Party are well documented.  See Bev Harri's site, blackboxvoting.com for supporting details.

Once again, problems with election fraud are surfacing to the detriment of the Democratic candidate, this time the mayoral cnadidate in the city of San Diego.

I am very angry at the leadership of the national Democratic Party, and big-time Democratic Senators and congressmen in Washington, for their failure to denounce this election fraud and alert the American public to its dire threat to American democracy.

With all of our hopes now for routing the Republicans in the 2006 midterms, remember, we had these same hopes in 2002 and 2004.  We had massive voter mobilization, and the polls and exit polls predicted and showed a Democratic victory.  But due to election fraud victory was denied our candidates.

With Republicans controlling all three branches of the national government, and all 3 branches of major states where election fraud was rampant such as Ohio and Florida, we need to stand up for democracy and demand that the voter's will is honored.  If we cannot get the people's will honored due to election fraud, we should then publicly state to the nation that the Democratic Party will urge its supporters to boycott all future elections because they are not being counted fairly and properly.

We should end the illusion that our votes count, and that we are living in a democracy.  The choice will then be left to the people as to how to remedy this situation.

Anyway, here is the link to the problems in San Diego:
